May 28, 2019 - Congratulations to 2020 Graduating Goalkeeper Savanna "Savi" Stubbs on her commitment to Johnson & Wales University - North Miami (JWU)!
Rich Hirst our Girl's Academy Manager says "Savi has been with us at FCD since September 2017 and exemplifies the core values of our culture. She step-by-step and diligently worked through her college bound process over the last 20 months, having used our Sportsrecruits Program over 340 times since its introduction! Based on the program's analytics, this was the leading log ins and use. She attended all FCD college bound offering, gave continuous updates and when she needed guidance or advice she asked independently. An absolutely pleasure working with Savi through this process. Dedication is a word that I would use to describe Savi, as she attends all goalkeeper sessions, team sessions, plays whenever called upon, will travel anywhere with our program, understands the program and is extremely selfless/noble. All throughout this process, she had her criteria, targets set and has without a doubt met her targets academically and athletically. On the field - JWU has found a Goalkeeoer to lead their program for the next 4 years."
We look forward to the next 15 months as she prepares on the field!
Congrats Savi! So deserved!
May 28, 2019 - On the weekend of May 25-26, FC Durham Academy (FCD) had a group of 2005 and 2006 Girls participate in the U14 Division of the West Rouge Challenge. The girls performed with connection and ended the event undefeated as the division CHAMPIONS.
After running the round robin with 4 wins - 5-0, 4-0, 2-1 and 3-1, the girls battled in the final to win in some exciting Penalty Kicks over our Pickering Soccer Club.
We are extremely proud of the progress these girls have made, as half of this event roster was born in 2006.
May 6, 2019 - Over the weekend FC Durham Academy (FCD) entered 3 teams into the Oshawa Kicks Frank Sobil Tournament and were crowned with 3 division championships! Congrats to all the GIRLS!

FCD 2003G - 4 wins, 1 draw, 0 losses, 21 goals for and 2 goals against
FCD 2002G - 5 wins, 0 draws, 0 losses, 13 goals for and 0 goals against

Most important to us is the exciting weekend that our 2006G had. This was their first 11v11 tournament and a great display of how FCD works together for the development of our players. "It takes a village to raise a child". Congrats girls. We are extremely proud of you.
