July 26, 2018 - After spending 4 years working their way through promotions in the Ontario Women's Soccer League U21 tables, FC Durham Academy (FCD) has not only reached the highest U21 level in the province, but have just captured the division championship.

2017 OWSL PROVINCIAL ELITE U21 CENTRAL CHAMPIONS

Four of these players have just played their final U21 game at FCD and look forward to their senior years in college.

Our Girl's Academy Manager Rich Hirst says "I have been involved in the soccer pathway of these 4 ladies for quite some time and have valued each moment we have shared, whether it was a positive or negative experience at the time.  I have been coaching Gitty and MacKenzie since they were 11 years old.  These 4 were part of a group of players that were the nucleus of 10 that started our roots at FC Durham.  They will not be forgotten here.  You never know what is in store for the Academy at the Women's level in 2018."
