May 25, 2017 - FC Durham Academy would like to congratulate 2000G Attacking Midfielder Raquel Costa-Correia on her commitment to Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York. Raquel will be joining the Red Foxes in 2018 playing in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.

Raquel is a creative attacking midfielder who influences the game with her passing, dribbling and shooting ability. Raquel is an individual who displays an extremely high compete level as someone willing to sacrifice whatever necessary to help the team win. The passion that she plays with is only matched by her drive for success. She is someone that holds herself to the highest of standards and never compromises in the pursuit of her dreams. Self-reflection has been a key component to Raquel development as she constantly strives to be both a better player and person each day. I look forward to helping her prepare for her next steps at Marist College!
