17 FCD Graduates Return for 2016 Summer

College Preparation at FCD

March 24, 2016 - FC Durham Academy is five weeks away from the opening of the 2016 Summer Female College Prep Program and the return of 17 FCD 2014 and 2015 Graduates.

This program is designed to provide female college players an environment for the summer months that has one objective in mind.  Their preparation for their upcoming fall college season!!!  Staff will conduct multiple college fitness tests from May to July.  The curriculum focus is on the development of physical, mental and technical areas that will improve the overall speed of play.  Training sessions will take place 2-3 times per week, based on game schedules and recovery sessions.  Goalkeepers will have Goalkeeper Specific Training at every session.  A one week college fitness camp the end of July is the closing component of this program.

FCD has teams entered in all 3 OWSL U21 levels of play with the highest being the Provincial Division.  a high level of competition.  

FCD's top 2016 and 2017 Graduates will also join this group for the 2016 summer.

Over the past two years, FCD Graduating Female Student-Athletes have been successful making the transition to the college soccer environment.  This culture is proven, as 17 of our graduated 2014 and 2015 players will be returning in 2016.  Returning are:
