Congratulations to our 2020 Academy Captain Hannah Harkin on her commitment to University of Toronto for 2020!

Rich Hirst our Girl's High-Performance Manager says "Hannah moved to FC Durham Academy 2 years ago and in 2019 assumed the position of 2002 Captain and then obtaining the Academy Captain position at our 2019 Graduation game when Arisa Timoll pass it on.  She has exceptional maturity, accountability, attention to detail and dedication traits that allow her to excel in a position such as this.  On the field, Hannah is relentless, competitive, dynamic in movement, display great pace with the ball and is always a scoring threat.  Through this college bound process the past year, Hannah obtained an overwhelming amount of contact from colleges/universities in the United States and Canada, but stuck to her personal criteria when it came down to maintaining communication, visits etc.  Turning down many opportunities that were presented.   I strongly believe that Hannah will have an outstanding university soccer career at University of Toronto with the Varsity Blues and will impact the program going forward."
