Branding Announcement

It is with great excitement that FC Durham Academy announces that as of August 1, 2019, we're rebranding! As part of our rebranding strategy, our academy logo will change from the iconic circle image to a fresh new 'FCD' crest next season.

This logo change is part of our larger 2020 strategic planning which is focused on emphasizing the strength of our capabilities, our growth, and ourcommitment to solidify ourselves as the top academy in Durham Region and in the Ontario Soccer's landscape.

The new logo was designed in a way to celebrate our history and provide insight into our future as an organization. We look to expand upon our current services, accomplish our player pathway objectives and continue to development the soccer experience for every player who puts on an FC Durham Academy crest from today forward.

You'll start to see changes to our website, social media profiles, and new 2020 uniform package.....stay tuned for more announcements in the coming weeks.

What does mean moving forward, it's business as usual as we being to announce our upcoming trial season just with a fresh new look. If you head to fcdurhamacademy.comyou may notice we have gone mobile as part of our digital strategy. In the coming days, weeks and months our supporters will see content begin to flood our digital pages with 2020 LTPD trial information, professional staff announcements, coaching placements, resources, fall/winter programming, player pathway documentation, FCD high performance upgrades and academy development pathway overviews.

We will, of course, continue to execute programs, with the same if not better, brilliance and professionalism you've come to experience from owners Tom Croft and Richard Hirst. For example, our fall/winter indoor programming includes the rebrand of our popular U5-U7 Grassroot Development program to U5-U7 Pre-Academy Development Program. We have worked diligently to build a full systematic pathway for our players to move from U5-U7 Pre-Academy to U8-U12 LTPD Academy to U13-U16 High Performance through U18+ Senior play which includes the integration of league play within League1 Ontario's reserve and semi-professional league under the brand 'FC Oshawa'.

In 2019, FC Durham Academy joined forces with our local community-based club soccer provider the Oshawa Kicks Soccer Club. This partnership has been more than 2 years in the making and will continue to evolve as we launch the 2020 program season. Although our academy continues its objective to serve the whole of Durham Region, the relationship fits nicely with the Kicks as we both share training facilities within the City of Oshawa and believe in the development structure of their recreational and LTPD programming.

The long-term concept of our rebrand is a simple one, give every player the chance to kick a ball and fall in love with the game......from there, provide them the ability to work towards their personal fulfillment....if it's high performance, FC Durham Academy steps in to fill a player's personal toolbox with our 4 holistic pillars; Technical/Tactical, Social/Emotional, Physical and Mental!

As we complete this process, we'd like to take the time and thank our loyal academy stakeholders and partners. Without you, this would not be possible and we look forward to raising our bar in 2020 with all of you.
