May 31, 2016 - FC Durham Academy's 2002 Boys participated in the 2016 Erie Memorial Day Classic Tournament on May 28th-30th.

The boys participated in the Premier Division. They started a little slow losing their first game. Getting accustomed to playing on grass and the heat was an issue. The Boys and Coaching Staff adjusted and won the next 3 games to top the division while improving our performance in every game.

After the 4 tough group games the boys lined up against another Canadian team Brampton Elite. In a very tight Final we scored in the second half to win the Final 1-0.

Our Boys' will to compete and ability to combine with teammates to move the ball around the park proved to be their keys to success.

The Boys represented FC Durham Academy with skill and class and we congratulate them on their success.
