November 19-23, 2014 - A group of FC Durham Academy female players attended the CASL College Showcase in Raleigh, North Carolina, competing in the U16 and U19 Divisions.

Over 400 College Coaches attend this event each year and FCD has communicated with 95 different college coaches regarding our student-athletes that participated in the event this year.

Our Girls Director of Coaching Rich Hirst says "I have traveled to this event for a decade and each year we have great recruiting success here.  This year we had student-athletes graduating high school in 2015-2018.  Our girls worked diligently in preparation on the field and in the classroom and there is no doubt this effort will pay off.  We are extremely proud of the progressions each group made during the 3 games."

The U19 (2015-2017) squad finished the event with 2 wins and 1 draw, while the U16 (2016-2018) squad improved with each game, completing the event with a 0-0 draw.  The competition level was high ans there is no better environment to showcase your talents and abilities.
